Job Description

Working under supervision of Dr. Naren Vyavahare (CSO), the Fellow is responsible for conducting experiments for the optimization and clinical translation of proprietary nanotherapeutics at Elastrin Therapeutics Inc.. The Fellow will collaborate with Vyavahare Lab members and Animal Facility Staff at Clemson University for application of these nanotherapeutics in animal experiments. The Fellow will also assist in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses.  Projects requiresome knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories in appropriate technical and/or scientific area(s).


  • Prepare therapeutic nanoparticles and optimize established procedures for mid-level scale- up in preparation for industrial scale-up of these technologies.
  • Analysis of nanoparticle characteristics by techniques such as dynamic light scattering (DLS) and electron microscopy (i.e. SEM and TEM).
  • Characterize changes in drug loading, drug release, and antibody conjugation efficiency during scale-up process.
  • Design and conduct ex vivo and in vivo experiments for evaluating the de-calcification and targeting efficiency of therapeutics nanoparticles in calcified circulatory system tissues.
  • Collation and analysis of company-related data and subsequent preparation of reports and protocols/SOPs.


  • Masters Degree or higher in the field of Bioengineering or chemistry.
  • Experience with formulation and application of nanoparticle therapeutics and/or rodent experiments are preferred.
